How big does an account have to be to qualify for Prime Services?
Wow, that's a refreshing admission from IB that their customer service needed improvement! It's good to hear you're actually working on that, now if you can just get rid of "The Algorithm" or at least stop thinking of and in fact referring to it in the third person as if it's an omnipotent being that is perfect in every respect. Heck, I'd settle for not referring to it as a being at all and instead calling it "our software developers product" which at least implies it's the output of a bunch of ordinary humans and can and does need to be tweaked and fixed from time to time.... believe we have and are making strides towards providing a high quality of service to all.

I know of no one at IBKR who rests on their laurels. Not necessarily true. We have a sales team that deals with institutions and HNW individuals as well as a professional services desk handling the same. At the same time, we are constantly building our client service team around the world and believe we have and are making strides towards providing a high quality of service to all.
Hi, I'm sure you saw the follow-up posts asking the same Q, so I imagine(?) there's a reason why you haven't given the dollar-figure, but what is either (a) the account balance, or (b) amount of commissions generated that qualifies one as a "HNW individual" eligible for either an individual sales rep, or some other flavor of enhanced or personalized service / contact?
Because it is a moving target and somewhat subjective and I don't have an exact metric. The sales team is largely focused toward institutions and select active individuals. Our professional service and key clients team have a broader mandate and if I had to take a rough guess I'd say AUM over 2-5 million and $500 per week in commission. This is a very rough estimate as it can be subjective.

It is $200 a week in commission for key account services.
Better customer service? Designated account rep to contact?
