Seriously.....they need to stop with the concentration camps language. The conditions of the detention centers are not good at all but you can find another way to highlight them then stealing from history something that should not be taken lightly.
But it's perfectly proper language to use. Not a whole lot of Japanese died in our concentration camps because they weren't death\extermination camps. What, we now should curve the definition of words? That's what righties accuse the left of doing all the time.
The correct wording is “internment camps” regarding the Japanese detention during WW2.
AOC is purposely using “concentration” in an attempt to stir emotions knowing the history associated with the term.
And yes it’s offensive to those that are/were connected.
And yes the Japanese internment camps were not death camps but still were wrong and based on more paranoia from a shocked nation following Pearl Harbor.
What’s going on at the border is nowhere comparable to either.

She was wrong and got called out for it.

The government is concentrating "undesirables" in camps at the border. You're welcome to disagree with facts all you want, it still won't change those facts.
The Nazi Concentration camps and the Japanese Internment camps both were used against “Citizens”. Governments incarcerating it’s own people without due cause.
When people unlawfully try to enter and are detained....... I rest my case.
