Bung I don't even want to tell you how old I was when I thought that but I was a kid for god's sake OK? Yeah, I'm a hypocrite alright. I guess if we go back to what I really thought about the issues in high school, junior high and even grade school, I've flip flopped on a lot of issues. I guess when I was 13 I just didn't examine all the issues as carefully as I should have. shame on me.

Hey man, I made my points...

Regardless of whether you think abortion is right or wrong, it comes down to the fundamental question of whether or not the govt has the right to decide whether or not you control your own body...

And what you think about democrats flip flopping on that issue is irrelevant...especially considering you, yourself are a flip flopper. (Now of course, you'll reply "but I flip-flopped in the RIGHT direction!" but that is a matter of personal opinion and goes right to the heart of the issue here).

I'd be willing to bet five bills that the percentage of people who are against abortion have had one or been a party to one. Yes, they have enjoyed the personal freedoms afforded to them in this great land, and they want to take it away from everyone else??? HOW FUCKED UP IS THAT?

I'd also be willing to bet that the most staunch supporters of choice have never put themselves in a position where they'd really consider getting one, myself included.

FWIW, I'd never be a party to an abortion, even though morally I do not have a problem with it, and I will fight to ensure that everyone has the priviledge of making the decision for their GODDAMN selves.

And BTW, if someone wants an abortion, they're going to get it, even if it means travelling to another country to get one, so the issue is more or less pointless to debate, anyway.

I couldn't disagree more. I agree with what I think MS was saying: it comes down to the fundamental question of whether or not the individual has the right to decide whether or not it's okay to take the life of another human being simply because that life is small, helpless, hidden and terribly inconvenient.

It is simply an issue of one human being given the right to take the life of another human being.

Our government has made the following statement: "We will ferociously protect all life and every citizen except our most helpless and weak. It is okay to slaughter them by the millions."

man, the world would be a better place if conservatives actually practiced what they preached and did abstain...:D

then again, flash the word "conservative" in front of most people and the word that comes to mind first is usually "hypocrite"
