You know, they're not very good about giving you a timely yes/no. After my second interview, I waited two weeks and got no response. So I called them three times and emailed them at least twice to ask for an answer. Finally about a month after the second interview they said I was rejected.

They are really picky. They see about 500 applicants per each hiring period and maybe hire 2-3. I've seen alot of the resumes that work at TMG/Aardvark and it's sick. Most are from Ivy League schools w/ 3.7+ GPA or have some kind of top notch work experience related to the field.
I was asked for a third interview. The guy was suppose to call on two occasions which he never did. Then I get an email a month after he was suppose to call asking if I still wanted an interview. This really pissed me off...Is this typical of smaller trading firms? Seems very unprofessional..can someone prove me wrong?
Aardvark is a subsidiary of TMG so it's really not a small firm. I know people at TMG that got their offer the day of their 2nd interview. To my knowledge most of those guys got an offer within a week.
I interviewed with them last year, both phone interviews.
1st round they asked some basic math/probability/finance questions.. breezed through that.
about 2 weeks later, had the 2nd round.. asked some behavioral questions and continued with math/finance. I blanked out on one of their finance questions and the guy ended the interview kinda disturbed. He then sent me a bunch of questions (mostly on options/futures) to answer and email to him. I carefully answered them in great detail, scanned and emailed them over and he immediately sends me a rejection (within hours.)
They seem quite selective for a firm with an unknown reputation.. I was in a Master of Finance program at the time and merely applying for their Trading Assistant internship back in May '08 (before the markets got real ugly)
