AAPL

Why have resting limit orders, why not sell when the market tells you to. It could go to 200 without stalling.

Rather have base hits. General market context isn't exactly bear-city either, so why be targeting home runs?

Fair enough, discretionary is slightly different but as you know, systematically you need to maximize profits on any given trade to achieve the best possible long term results.

In actual fact, if you built a system using resting limit orders the likelihood of it being profitable would be close to zero.

Yeah but when you say "maximize profits" you're saying "home run" in this context. Plenty of traders making quite a good living on "base hits" and I'm simply targeting the upper channel edge here (on a multi-year 3 drive at that).

The bears are making a timid approach on this one. Bulls aren't responding in force. Looking like a good setup for a head and shoulders turnaround.

Stocks don't get much more bullish than what AAPL is right now. I'm not seeing any chinks in its armour yet.
