AAPL earnings April 30?

  • APPL at 283.00
  • Weekly (May 1) options are cheap - $6.25 for the 285.00 calls

  • Is April 30 the correct date?
  • By Thursday those options will be even cheaper.
  • IMO ..... those options are TOO cheap.
 
So apple to 300+ by Friday morning with 285 calls going for 10.00? 12.50? 15.00????

Apple loves to low ball earnings so that the beat always looks like Mt. Everest, its the oldest trick in the book, and we know that iphone sales missed their mark and that sales of of their hardware line will be down across the board but no worries as this was 9999999% anticipated. Wallstreet won't mind so yes I'm sure Apple skyrockets to that $300+ by Thursday eve after the announcement!!!

It would highly surprise me. I expect AAPL to give weak future guidance and profit warning for next quarter. They're reporting Q1 earnings, which will not be as heavily impacted by the virus-situation as their Q2 will be. But let's see.
 
OP, any update on this? I looked into the chain and liked what I saw. Premiums looked very cheap.

I've always treaded lightly when it comes to earnings but I am considering rolling the dice on this. Considering what the ITM strikes are trading at, it might be worth the gamble...
