Schiller announces price of Ipad mini and the stock dives. $329 for that while an Ipad 2 sells for $399!!

Can someone please explain how it's a good business to have lots of different products with slightly different names that all do pretty much the same thing?

Exactly how long can a mania last?

It appears to be a little to wide to be held comfortably in the hand. I see why Job said no <strike>no wire hangers ever</strike> mini ipads.


I doubt earnings are going to matter, we know iphones and the other junk will sell well but this totally shit the bed. And where the heck is Apple TV?

Cook is back to talk about the iPad. Two weeks ago we sold our 100 millionth ipad two weeks ago, says Cook. In just two and a half years, he says. (note: That number is lower than some analysts have been expecting. FBN Securities's Shebly Seyrafi after the show sent out a note cutting his fiscal Q4 number from 18 million to 15.5 million units.)
 
i feel you are seeing apples immortality disappearing right before your eyes. i think they missed on the ipad mini and amazon is giving the tablets away at a very low price. its not worth $130 more and i think the stock will trade lower. i will say i like the new imac mini for $599 and could buy it but they can't compete with google or amazon tablet prices. they would of been better off not having a 7.9 inch tablet at all.
