A visual aid. What scalping futures looks like.

You can export the video into a gif picture file and upload that to a website in camtasia. Near perfect quality with a low file size.

I don't add to all losers, there are some trades that I have strong conviction on that I may have been early on that I will add to especially if the conceptual basis behind them is still valid. But if my reason for a trade no longer exists I have the disciple to get out. As I continue to post videos you will see me have position that I add to and dump.

Its also impotent to know what you are looking for if I'm putting on a trade looking for a 3 tick pop in the next 15 seconds I'm not going to add to that. Also you will see me add sometimes thinking that I've got a turn but as the trade doesn't do what I expect I get out sometimes with a couple tick gain or couple tick loss.

The trade yesterday was a very high conviction trade.

Hope my explanation makes since. I will post a video explaining the rational behind yesterday's trade when I get a chance. It may not be until the weekend. However I think it will be a good example of how you judge the market's behavior as opposed to just trading setups. Understanding market behavior is a much stronger tool which also gives you much higher conviction.

I've been trading full time for 10 years.

Thanks for the explanation. I was simply impressed with your balance of the conceptual reason behind taking a positon and the ability to cut losses when nessicary. The strategy obviously works.

I hope you continue posting the series, it's a great reference for index trading

trader 151,

4re and I did something similar for the s/r emini journal -

http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showt...=6&highlight=speculari and 4re&pagenumber=923

Youtube and google are a pain in the ass to share decent quality and/or video lenghth. Your best bet is to just upload the videos to megaupload.com. You can make them as long as you want and no need to speed them up, also the links dont expire. If you have any questions just pm me.

I hear revver is high quality but i dont personally have any experience using them -

P.S. - To the ET'ers pestering the guy to show you more videos, i hope you are not under the impression that you can replicate his results by watching a couple of ten minute clips.

It is obvious he has a high level of intuitive ability developed from watching many hours of market action REAL TIME. Those in a rush to try and replicate his trading style will end up being the cannon fodder on the other side of his trades...as well as other experienced DAX scalpers such as FT71. You might as well just ask him for his address and mail him the check now.

watching other proficient scalpers/momo traders certainly helped my development as a trader... in addition to the guy's explanations, i think it's a very valuable contribution...

I agree....it proves what kind of results are possible - if one commits to putting in the hours of screen time needed to reach this level of skill

There is a guy with a screen name Sponger that might PM you about it. Just sent you a PM so we don't highjack this thread.

Take Care,
Gary

P.S. I am mostly just a lurker in here now but I do still read ET daily. Talk to me when you have time.
