Since it has been overdiscussed and I have flamed on about it at length for months, I will lay low, but man, they got problems in the dem party. They came out of the 2106 fiasco solidly agreeing that they needed to try to move to the center to recapture their old more centrist base rather than the far left identity politics strategy......but since then all, and I do mean to say all, of the energy is over on the bernie sanders wing of the party. They got themselves a first class civil war brewing.

Bye, bye Nancy Pelosi. Your clock is ticking......tick..tick...tick....tick.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a former campaign organizer for Bernie Sanders, pulled off a stunning upset in New York City on Tuesday by defeating Rep. Joseph Crowley, D-N.Y., a member of party leadership who was considered all but a shoo-in.

Crowley, 56, a 10-term incumbent from Queens and fierce Trump-basher, was a steady fundraiser for fellow Democrats and was thought by some to be a future speaker of the House.

His defeat left no clear potential choice in the House to succeed Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., as the party's leader. Further, it exposed deepening divisions within the party as the liberal wing flexes its muscles in the primaries -- pressuring the establishment to back big-government policies like Medicare for All and guaranteed jobs.

The National Republican Campaign Committee celebrated the defeat of "poor Joe Crowley."

"House Democrats, hoping for a post-Pelsoi era, are now left leaderless," NRCC spokesman Matt Gorman said. "The only person happier tonight than Nancy Pelosi is the NRCC."

People have no hope anymore,they move towards radical ideas after being screwed for decades.All started with the wealthy selling out the textile industry to slave labor overseas in the 1970's,The wealthy simply got too greedy and destroyed the country.

If this was any libertarian candidate all of you Conservatives would cheer and Democrats would complain,but TPTB got you all divided in two camps and your country is going down the shit hole.It does not matter if its good idea,you deserve it,because you are being played without recognizing that you are muppets.This is your fault and those in Congress have bigger fault,they are criminals who are everyday selling your country.If new people won't get elected there will be revolution,but wealthy don't care they got their properties outside the country and think they will escape and watch this unravel on TV.

I lived in USA for 15 years,I loved the place,haven't been back in over a decade and not planning to.Always happy to talk to Americans when i meet them here in Europe,there is something very positive about American people in general.
 
This is the new face of the democratic party. They're going left, hard left, and they'll pull it off over time. As their voters get younger,(see the push to register 18 year olds), and of a darker complexion, which is the growing segment of the population, it's only a matter of time. They'll take a few hits early on, but the trend is clear. Not a bad strategy considering that the democratic party completely failed the people they were supposed to represent, and the establishment republicans are so pathetically weak, and they too have failed to represent anyone other than corporate America. It's going to take someone similar to Trump, but much, much more polished to pull the republicans together, otherwise say hello to Socialist States of North America, 15 -20 years out, max.
 
This is all good fun now but if the dems are able to get enough immigrants voting, idiots like her could be running the country. They will make Obama look like Mitt Romney.

Her central issue was to abolish ICE. Just let them all move here and get free health care(another core issue). You white racists will gladly pay for it all, just like they do in Veneuzela.

It’s a mad, mad world... now that there was a primary upset in a democrat race. Wait, are we talking about just one seat here?

It only took one primary upset to throw the Democratic Party into a Trump like chaos happening in the Republican Party?

That doesn’t seem right now that I think about it. It seems like crazy loves company and there is some wishful thinking that there is now an equivalency to the madness happening in the Republican Party. You guys may want to check yourselves.

On a side note, Pelosi is most likely out anyway and this race has nothing to do with it.
