Jobs lost to driverless cars and ambulances will be partially offset by employment gains in the body shop business and emergency rooms. Driverless ambulances should to some extent generate their own clients. There will be some incentive to replace human EMTs with robots, as there can be no question that robotic EMT workers will be just as good as their human counterparts in not reviving people after they have been dead 15 minutes. Is it possible that much of the fight over immigration is in fact nothing to do with terrorism, but is instead the looming massive unemployment of many male jobs related to driving things from one place to another? Those people will then vote themselves to welfare.
Until Uber, a massive population demographics of taxi drivers are immigrants. What happens with driver-less cars? Not only will taxi drivers be out of a job, Uber will implode. What do I need a driver when my car takes me to the airport or restaurant, and then drives itself home? In fact, why do I need a parking lot?
Driverless cars will kill the most jobs in select US states

Exactly, the poor should use their 'free choice' to choose to become a wealthy real estate investor. Or even better! A Star NFL Quarterback.individuals have a choice.. the moment you start talking about how the "poor" are beaten down.. you take away their individuality and thier free choice to be what they want.. the rich make choices and so do the poor, thats what makes them that way... this idea that they are getting beat is so anti free market its sick
You know that Uber has thrown in the towel in China right?
choice examples... .. i don't think you understand how important it really is to have the "market test" on peoples decisions... its that or tyrannical government.Exactly, the poor should use their 'free choice' to choose to become a wealthy real estate investor. I laugh when I listen to Trumpet talking about jobs. Putting America back to work. Pure political drama made out of impossible dreams. There is already a huge over capacity to produce cars, trucks, TVs etc. Unless the poor workers are beaten down to near starvation wages they haven't a hope of competing.
If we can be serious for a moment, I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment as you have expressed it above. I don't however agree with a similar and related sentiment expressed as you did in your prior post. The reason is straight forward: Choice is precluded by circumstances. So to imply that someone has free choice is to gloss over the reality that choice is extremely limited by circumstances beyond ones control in the majority of situations where a seemingly bad choice has been made. So opportunity must be increased of course, but that's not nearly as important as improving circumstances. The latter is not being addressed effectively. (And you can't do that with the usual welfare as meted out in the U.S. In fact much of that is counter productive.)choice examples... .. i don't think you understand how important it really is to have the "market test" on peoples decisions... its that or tyrannical government.
But what about "The Home of the Brave?"The Land of the Free is a big myth.
