Wouldn't it be more accurate to declare a "step back into The United State's lost decade"?
 
I remember when the Bush admin blocked human embroyo research... the "scientists" went ballistic, Bush was going to be responsible for millions of lives lost because of the lost gains from research.. then over time, other countries reported that they were not finding much of value in the embroyo path, the success was all in the adult stem cells from the person that needed the help... but nobody apoligyzed for throwing such BULLSHIT tantrums of course...
 
The research types should just go to China. America is a buffoon country.
