A Smooth Equity Curve ----- The Holy Grail -----

I disagree with the OP, I don't believe the holy grail of trading to be a smooth equity curve.

Holy Grail in my sense of the word is some magical setup, some indicator, that is right close to 100% of the time.

If anything, I don't want a smooth equity curve because my account is so small compared to a 10 million dollar account (where keeping drawdown low and the curve smooth is so important, which is why institutions get ~20%). With an account like mine, I want to concentrate my funds and swing for large returns while using leverage.

Price is money. Time is Time. Time is more valuable than price, so pay attention to Time considerations far more than price/money considerations. Wasting money is okay - you can always make it back. Wasting Time is Death itself.

A trader that wastes no time rarely has a losing hour and never a losing day, week, month, or year. He trades a 100% system. Only 100% systems are viable after 10 years.

There is no risk in a 100% system. Being in a position is the safest place for your money to be in a 100% system. Anyone that doesn't trade a 100% system won't survive 10 years in the market because risk is dangerous and you can only take risks for so long until the mind/body can't take it anymore. Then you end up like Hypo and you need to create 16 sock puppets to convince yourself that the 100% system doesn't exist. What a tragedy traders that take risks immerse themselves in.

For a moment, it seemed this thread might be intelligent. Then you, the OP, makes this 100% stupid post.

I'm sure you'll be selling that 100% system so you avoid that 10 year timebomb.

What an idiot.

Yep... gotta be a jack hershey type... congrats you've made the ignore list.

Also, while I may sound like I don't appreciate this posting, the opposite is true. It's nice to know that I'm not the stupidest person trading... which is sometimes how I feel.
