A simple unique OS question?

I am trying to help my dear mom. I installed Windows 2k pro on her old machine that was running Windows ME, and it's running much better thanks.

To the point..........if I installed SP 4 for Windows 2k do I need to installing the preceding service packs or does SP4 include everything?

run window update, it tells you what patchs to install.

Actually I did, it told me I had to go to service packs and manually install before I could install any updates so I did and I installed SP4 hoping it would be inclusive of all preceding service packs, but it didn't specify. That's the reason for the question. Thanks for the speedy reply.

You should be good to go, that is, to run Windows Update. See Summary here:

I believe all Microsoft service packs are cumulative, rather than incremental.
