He didn't get fired for sexual harassment. Fox has known about those allegations for years. The drop of advertisers had something to do with it, but they could have held firm and rode that out if they wanted to. The real issue is the organization is being handed over to Rupert M's leftwing sons who want to do a hatchet job with the channel.

I think this is correct. The "harassment" issues always seemed a little thin to me. Maybe he hit on some women. Maybe he was just an old guy who didn't understand how pussified the modern workplace is. BFD.
Wildchild hit the nail on the head though. They could have easily brushed this off if they had wanted to. Instead, like with Ailes, they used it as an excuse to do what they wanted to do all along, deepsix Ailes and O'Reilly and turn Fox into more of a cuck channel.
Bingo. Make no mistake, this is the takedown of a major player by the left. FOX is the one and only conservative force in TV media. Dismantle them and you own the whole enchilada. It's also part of the continuing effort to neuter the American male. Score a major victory for lefties on this one.
There will be a new show on Fox News courtesy of Murdoc's leftwing sons called "I'm Sorry I'm White". People can call into the show and discuss "White Privilege" among other things and even complain about past Fox News hosts without being censored.

With the kids running the show, it's not going to be the same old Fox news any longer.
Likely a stupid play on the kids' part. Fox had most of the "non-Left" audience to itself. Now that Fox is apparently going "full Commie", it will get lost among all the other Lefty channels.
Perhaps viewers need to organize a mass boycott to protest O'Reilly's treatment.
