A record 4.3 million workers quit their jobs in August

Ok, all the small business owners I interact with daily are telling me that the cost of hiring is so burdensome they can’t compete with what staff are asking for in todays market and are getting priced out the market is totally meaningless and the great and powerful Sig says he doesn’t have an issue so it’s all cool.

That's what free markets do. Some businesses deserve to go under. Some new industries it's up to government to give people a boost to get through the early days when start up costs and training can be tough. Otherwise a country loses a lot of future business. Canada for example was useless at this for decades. I can tell you my daughter got involved in some new areas very early in her career ( areas that barely existed 10 years ago ) and has more business opportunity then she can possibly do now. She even creates employment for other people even though it's not really her main focus. So there is huge untapped potential out there and businesses that depend on underpaying employees don't face a strong future.

If hiring is too burdensome there are reasons some people don't want to admit.

So we're still going with these apocryphal small business owners you "know" or now I guess have been downgraded to "interact with daily" and your zero experience, with no data to support your assertion? OK.

First off, it's pretty clear at this point we've established that number 3 is the correct answer to my original assertion. Unlike you, I actually do really know dozens of small business owners (and medium and large business owners) from a broad variety of industries, I was fortunate enough to go to a school where a lot of us ended up as entrepreneurs. And unlike you, I actually meet regularly with these folks specifically to talk about the overall business environment and how it's impacting us. We talk about actual data, like the civilian labor force participation rate and the unemployment rate, as well as talking about what we're personally experiencing and what each of our own broader networks are experiencing. We're all adults with some perspective and experience, so we realize that there's no one reason for the current difficulty hiring low wage employees and no silver bullet that will solve the problem. But in all those discussions I've literally not once heard someone even intimate that the current problem is caused by your mythical red tape or high taxes.

But hey, you saw on whatever right wing echo chamber you get your worldview from that today's talking points are red tape and taxes and you blindly start parroting it despite having zero experience, actual examples or data to support what you're blindly parroting. All while either conflating folks you see on a message board to the "dozens" of imaginary small business owners you "know", or deciding that because you got a coffee at the coffee stand on the corner you're now an expert in the coffee stand HR business. Again, why in the world would you think that your opinion is equally valid as those who do this for a living? And seriously, do you lecture the pilots after your fly, it definitely sounds like something you'd do? After all, they're a sample size of 1 and you've I'm sure interacted with dozens of pilots in your day, amiright?

Jesus, relax! You’re shouting incoherent nonsense. Move on.

Well that says everything that needs to be said about both the strength of your argument and your maturity level.

Listen, I know you're a bright kid and hopefully at some point you'll be a full participant in the creating jobs and economic activity part of capitalism. Until then, a little humility and maybe laying off the Ayn Rand would do you a world of good and help you actually reach that point rather than just preaching to those who are already there.

I'll leave you with a John Rodgers quote that's especially relevant to you: "There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

So when we will see mandatory jabs for ALL: usps workers?
Judges?
White house employees?
Lawyers?
IRS agents?
truck drivers?
Central bankers?
Banks programmers?
WHen when when?? Please...... it must be done NOW! They spread the virus, all these people without a mandatory shot! Its baaaaad, tragedy :))))

NPR ran a show about the Great Resignation a few months ago. There's a real disconnect between the people who can afford to quit or telecommute and the working class that lives paycheck to paycheck.

healthcare cost increases were bad before, they are going to be significantly worse if this doesn't change.
Good. That's going in the right direction. The only thing that will save us from the disastrous U.S. Healthcare Fiasco are costs that even wealthy Republican Senators can't afford. If we can get those costs up to the point that Mitch and Elaine McConnell can no longer afford healthcare in the U.S. and start flying to Brazil to have their warts removed for $19.99/ea is instead of $1999.99 (before the Pathologist's fee) , we might finally be able to get single payer.

And all this I predict will lead to crash bigger than the last one
I am reminded of what John Kenneth Galbraith said when asked by a reporter on an airport tarmack many years ago, "Professor Galbraith, are we going to have another Market crash?" His answer, "I'm certain we will." Just as Galbraith proved to have been correct, I am certain you will also be proved to be correct. In fact I am going to do you one better. I am going to predict two crashes. Please save this post so you can prove I was right! :D

People don't want anything exuberant.
They just want to own a damn home.
Let them pay decent wages so that people can have a decent life.
Then they find labor.
People are tired.
People no longer want to work so they can never have a home.
Who wants to go round and round in a hamster wheel to never get anywhere?
This no longer makes sense.
If wages don't go up, soon no one is going to want to work.
