A poor Eu Trade deal could cause a recession, you're warned!

I have submitted a letter to Donald Tusk the President of the European Council, on Monday 23rd September 2019, in which I explain the possible consequences of a poor trade deal with the United Kingdom after Brexit and that by maintaining the existing trade deal any risks can be eliminated.

The letter was also sent to Jean-Claude Juncker the President of the European Commission, Angela Merkel the Chancellor of Germany and Emmanuel Macron the President of the Republic of France, with the intention of making the key European Union member states aware of the risk of recession.

No doubt you mean well but it seems that a substantial percentage of the British public are not with you. They are not being deterred from Brexit or a even no-deal Brexit by concerns about a possible recession. Its not an economics-based view but it will impact the process if there's another referendum or General Election -

* Of course, the public have all heard lots of warnings about recessions that are always coming and coming but many of which never arrive, so that's bound to dull the warning's impact.

* Then again, they might remember the UK has been through recessions before and the world didn't end.

* And of course they know very well that we're not in a recession now but they know its impossible to find a police officer or a get a doctor's appointment when needed, so where's the imminent disastrous impact? You can't lose what you don't have.

* On top of which, when the politicians enacted the Brexit process, it seems they did not believe a recession was a likely outcome, else why enact the decision of an advisory referendum? If they weren't concerned, why would the public be concerned?

* And finally many of them might actually be prepared to put up with another dose of austerity in order to escape the EU. Some of them really are that committed.

UK could cut corporation tax to 10% and companies would move their headquarters to the UK increasing employment and GDP.

I understand that your field is economics. But the Leave vote was made on political/populist grounds not economic evidence, and as I said I believe that will happen again if the public get to vote on EU membership again in either a referendum or an election.

You could present the best economic arguments in the world to the politicians involved - for all I am qualified to say, maybe you already have. But the politicians are not inclined to place economics above politics on this issue, as they continually surrender the decision to non-economists.

But then it wouldn't have any money for unemployeed, paying MP's / councilors, NHS and loads of other things.

I kinda agree, don't tax the rich out of the country, draw them in.

This Labour 32hour week, just lost my vote, it'll put so many companys under it'll be Zero hour weeks for all.

If we did an enforced vote, where everyone had to vote, the muppets left which still want Brexit would likely be around 10%, mainly old people going cenile I kid you not, the exact people we shouldn't care about cause there end of life, not having to put up with this shit.

Brexit, No Deal = Bankrupt UK simple as also big hand outs for those in charge, why there trying to push it through.
