COVID is actually deadlier and mroe dangerous than Polio when you look at number of people that died and were hospitalized. Also way more population density in 2020 than in 1950...

Let's get back to the way things were done with earlier vaccinations campaigns in the U.S. -- where those refusing vaccination were called communists, enemies of America, and mentally unfit people. Coupled with some towns and cities passing ordinances confining those who refused vaccination to their homes as public health threats. The Polio Vaccine came out in 1955 in the United States. By 1957 most people were vaccinated. There was no 57-58 polio pandemic in the United States

They did not suspend individual freedoms. They did not lock down the USA. They did not use Polio as an excuse to reduce our liberties. They did not start sending free money to every citizen of the country.

And there it is in a nutshell. Covid is real enough, but not even close to the end of the world scenario which was painted by those who chose to use it as a political weapon to win an election. That strategy worked and they also found it gave them the opportunity to rule by decree.
