My grandmother has asked me to go on grandfather's computer to share very sad news of his tragic passing on his various social medias. Although he hasn't been as active online the past couple of years I can say that Elite Trader was dear to his heart. My grandpop went out as he lived his life, with style and gusto. He was always my hero and I'm going to miss him really bad. Below is a shot of the article of his death in the local paper. Please keep our family and my grandpop's memory in your thoughts. What a courageous and selfless act. Hope you and your family are doing okay, just remember that William will always be remembered by his heroic deeds. I can truthfully say that not many would so willingly sacrifice themselves for others that they had no personal relationship too.
 
I'm am sick in my stomach and have no problem admitting that I cried like a baby when I saw this. I found William Rennick to be an extremely sharp, intelligent and funny man. Over the years he stood by my side on countless occasions and defended me when there were tough decisions that I had to make here on ET. So the fact that he lost his life stepping up to save others doesn't surprise me at all. The ET family lost an amazing man today, and accepting that he's gone saddens me deeply.

His participation will be missed here to say the least, and I wish his family all the best during this tragic time.
 
Real sorry to hear this, he was a good man and he always supported ET. At the end of each of his messages he usually signed with some variation of Rennick Out...

His last post this past December was signed Nostradamus Rennick out...

And my proudest one was way back in 2007 when he told a potential spammer he would be keeping a close eye on him and signed it Magna Rennick out...
 
:cool::cool::cool:Baron, Mags, and Et community, it's Rennick..news of my demise is pure balderdash. My damned smart phone was left on the bar while I went to the head at the VFW last night. It just now was returned to me with a message that I should check out ET...The fellas appear to have had some fun at my expense. Those sick bastards worked up the whole story, even though it made good copy, what a way to go out! Baron , I don't know what to say but all the comments touched this oldtimer's heart. The pikers mentioned in the bogus article were the clowns that pulled this off..they've got one coming..I made the mistake of showing them some of my posts on ET while we were bellied up to the bar.
