It's not a badge of honor, it's a badge or horror, and yes, Ivanovich did an excellent job of removing the offending post, and when you proved that you had no intention of maintaining anything even remotely resembling class or decorum on your thread, he took out the trash and put it where it belongs ... in the virtual equivalent of the gutter.

ET is getting to be a strange place.

Moderating has certainly changed in the last few years.

How is it that Rowshan lands in chit-chat and the Rennick (bless his soul) thread is allowed to stay?

Then mods having thread titles changed from 'urgent' to 'a message' then back again.

Rennick's thread is clearly a journal thread. He posts, people read it ONLY to see what He posts. Add: it's a promotion for some other pay site, and he is not paying a nickel to ET for the exposure. Back in the day, this was never allowed.

Strange place...
 
Elitetrader is a business about "hits" and sponsors. Its not about trading. The Rennick thread is the most viewed around and people keep coming back for more, they love it. Why shut a thread like that down?

However, the Rowshan is an imitation and it didnt quite get the hits the Rennick thread commanded. In fact, it made the Trading thread look crowded with Rennick and Rowshan. It really took away the hits.

So its nothing personal, just business. Dont get insulted. Your thread simply didnt make the cut and it was getting in the way of the site's business model.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what prompted me to act. For a while, he was just doing a journal, mixed in with lots of flame wars. It was borderline trading material at best. Then he started posting the 9/11 stuff on Steve and I kept removing it over and over again. Finally, I got tired of having to log on and delete it.

Now he can post it all he wants. Chit-chat is chit-chat.
 
This would be a blow to rowshan almost as horrible as a Spydertrader typ handholder going from paper trading to trading real money and actually losing some cash.
