You did post on 24th October 2005 .... " I'm a newb to forex...."
I guess, anyone reading that and doing the maths would therefore say it's taken you about 3 months to become an expert.
Therein lies many assumptions, and we know what they say when you assume.
The main assumption is that I have somehow become "authority" or "expert" on forex. I don't believe "anyone reading that" would think I'm an expert, because I believe most ET readers are somewhat intelligent. I would like anyone to point out claims I made (not in jest) that would suggest that.
Another assumption the poster has made is that I began my transition from newb to "expert" with that post. Is it possible to join this forum after months of forex trading? Or does no experience count until one registers on elitetrader.com?
Moreover, what part of the transition counts? If a brown belt has his test for a black belt tomorrow, isn't he still a brown belt today? "Yesterday you were only a brown belt, and today you're a black belt. Brown to black in one day -- wow!" I guess his prior training has no value.
Let's not worry about keeping track of lies, etc. Let's instill something into this forum that is severely lacking from a few: logical thought. I have no more bait for those who like to debate with disconnected fragments of thought, so now I will make facetious claims to end this post.
