A list of all scam unregulated 3rd party educational vendors

Quote from dietsoda:

I want to alert the trading community, my life has been severely damaged by a "con artist type" company, so many others have been completely destroyed. That was the point of my post to save some from this result. Can you imagine not being able to give those you love a Christmas gift? Not being able to put a good meal on the table? Pay your rent or mortgage"? I was fooled, i hope this saves some people... Good luck to everyone and may the madoffs of this world BURN IN HELL!!!!

what is the name of the company and the person who were involved in deceiving you, pls?

spell them oiut in details with receipts and email.

many would appreciate such concrete info, so many others might not fall prey.

thx mcuh and very sad to hear such similar stories again and again.

let's know with more specificities, K? thx again.

Quote from RichardRimes:

area code 801 is Utah and for whatever reason MANY scams originate out of utah so beware.

EMG how about Hindsight Trading...charging 10K to learn their "propitiatory" signals and how to trade emini's. Another group out of Utah. My nephew is thinking of signing on and he has absolutely no experience in the markets or in trading.

I don't see any scam on Hindsight Trading

affinity trading is regulated by the sec. Any issue with them need to take them up to the SEC

Affinity Trading Institute, LLC is not a proprietary trading firm nor a CBSX or FINRA member. However, Affinity does provide
proprietary trading education and consults with 3rd party CBSX member firms that offer and provide proprietary trading.

Here is an article from Barron's talking about the benefits of the CoolTrade software.

http://online.barrons.com/article/SB50001424053111903419104576454142097496016.html

Being a CoolTrade user the software will follow my trading strategy for me 100% automated. It takes the emotion and guessing out of the equation.

You can get discounts on the software as well (50% off) by going to www.robotictradingsystems.com

I see nothing in that Barron's article addressing benefits of CoolTrade software.

Are you an employee of the vendor? Your few posts would lead one to believe that.

Quote from edbar:

LINQ also told NO details about the Dow 30 strategy, other than his false statement saying that it ONLY BUYS and holds a stock and waits for the price to go up. When in fact that strategy is much more complex that utilizes many features only found in the CoolTrade system.

The CoolTrade discussion simply does not belong on this thread!

I'm pleased that you've posted here, because it gives me an opportunity to respond to materials I've seen from your company. And it was those materials that led me to look more closely at what your company is promoting, and how.

As a professional, private trader myself, there are few things that get me more pissed off than seeing misleading promotional materials from trading/investing companies.

I am in receipt of promotional materials distributed by your company at local networking events, and passed to me by a friend who attended a recent event where your company had a booth set up. It is my understanding that your company has been distributing these types of materials at a number of events.

In my opinion, these materials regarding CoolTrade, AKA RoboticTradingSystems, are extremely misleading to the public.

Specifically, on the first page of this package of materials, CoolTrade is headlined as earning 48% in gains since 8/18/011. The next 11 pages list hundreds of trades WITHOUT A SINGLE LOSS (!!) Let me repeat. Without a single loss.

My friend contacted your rep via email and questioned him about this. His response? "The strategy is a swing trade strategy and holds positions overnight or until they become profitable. "

What I suspect is that your software has run numerous systems over the last 6 months, and your company has elected to select a single one to headline in your promotional materials. And what really gets me hot is the fact that this stuff is being distributed to the general public.

Am I to believe that in the past 6 months CoolTrade software has not generated a single losing trade or losing system?

If this software is half as productive as you claim, then why is your company setting up booths and passing out such misleading materials?

Not sure a MACD could ever do that. Maybe something proprietary.

Were the results presented as hypothetical or actual?
