A list of all scam unregulated 3rd party educational vendors

Quote from bone:

"I think you missed the point Stock777 was trying to make. He suggested that you document live trades in order to create credibility , not trades a week after the fact."

1. That trade is not after the fact - we are still long the thing and are getting out in the roll (like right now).

2. Bla bla bla...

Hey I went short in the Dow about a month ago, you wanne see the trade I'm still in? And about 6 monhts ago I went long in gold!! Eeehm no, no I can't show the entries anymore that part of my trade is... Can't find it haha!! But let me find some more entries from the past that show a good profit at this moment.

Guys I think we all agree on the fact that boner is just a cheap vendor. What's quite funny is that as an ET sponsor he's actually paying for being disclosed here :D !!

If anyone wants to have more proof of his failure I suggest you take it up with him personally. If he wants to keep posting his funny stories here, that's fine with me. Vendors' crappy sales pitches are seriously good for a few laughs :) !!

But let's get back to the important stuff of this thread. By the way, EMG do we need more proof to put this spreadassprofessor.com on the list?

Frits, just because somebody ripped you off don't blame a legitimate vendor with an established clientele. You are mis-directing your animosity.

The Rockwell Trading Scam

Besides my work I trade futures as a hobby. I feel mandatory to share this story with my fellow futures traders. Takes about 10 minutes to read and will save you heaps of dollars. But more important it will save you from becoming a mental wreck.

Tuesday 13th October 2009 I joined Rockwell Trading from Austin Texas USA. Today it’s Sunday 31st October 2010 and I haven’t made 1 US Dollar profit through the Rockwell Strategies in the past 12 months. Further on in this story you’ll find some actual results of the 6 weeks I administered ALL of their trades (shadow trading). I think it is time to share MY personal story about the, in MY opinion Rockwell Trading Scam. From here on I will refer to Rockwell Trading as RWT."

His blogs go on and on about how he lost money trading through Rockwell... http://www.daytradingscam.com/

Thank you for posting this :) ! I see you found out how to use google! Just to be clear about this, the site isn't mine and there is already a thread on this forum dealing with it. So it's old news. But for more details take a look at: http://www.targetwns.nl/index.php?w...ll&id=1288362795&archive=&start_from=&ucat=11
It also has updates and is good for a few laughs!

Nevertheless it's common use by vendors to try to change the subject when the facts are closing in on them. As you must realize by quoting me above:"I've been there, done that" so I know what I'm talking about. I thank EMG for pointing out this thread to me after reading my story, so I can warn others about people like you.

For your entertainment have a look at this vdo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnWzBw7h1y0
It's the live recording of me disclosing the scam.

Frits, your knowledge of trading is exceptional:

Quote from Frits:

It surprises me that whole tribes of traders still have the illusion that by using technical analysis they are able to predict the direction of the market.

Whenever you enter the market you have a 50% that it goes up and a 50% chance that it goes down.

P.s. this advice was for free
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some feedback from other ET'ers in a closed thread to Frits' take on all things trading:

Where the hell did you pull that statistic from?

another failed trader not willing to take accountability for his failures. To say TA does not work is just an ignorant statement.

I apologize, I meant to say "Frits' favorite site". There you and your ilk can condemn TA after failing to find the holy grail in some snake oil salesman's system.

I guess the stupidity of your first post triggered a neuroplastic process, thus changing my neural connections and subsequently temporarily relieving me of my grammatical skills. It is just difficult to process such ignorant comments, made by someone who clearly does not know what he is talking about.

I did not know that you've posted your strategy in this thread. You cannot assume a profitable trader would want to wade through 68 pages of garbage.

I want to emphasize that this post is not really directed at you personally, but at your kind. I've seen far too many arrogant, ignorant posters on this board over the years. At some point I have to speak up.
If you would only spend a small portion of your time actually thinking rationally about how to approach the market as you spend berating concepts you do not grasp, perhaps you would be able to become profitable.

Maybe you could form a TA study group with marketsurfer, you both could learn how to trade....

That advice was free too!

Another attempt to try and change the subject... :)

Quote from b.hull:

While not a "grains guy" I took up your suggestion and looked at the post you had referred. On Aug 24 you cited a wheat spread that you supposedly entered on Aug 15 and which subsequently moved in your favour. Again, these after the fact trades do little to garner credibility and in fact appear novice-like. In fact, your invitaion piqued my interest and upon further reading, I could only find one real time grain spread to your credit, which ultimately moved against you (N/X soybeans).

Mark the wheat, the beans, the heating oil any time you want to - two out of three are winners to date.

Go back into the interest rate futures section and look at the GE Z1-Z2 spread calls I made in there too while you're at it. Again, mark them whenever you want - the date of the post, two weeks after the date of the post, it doesn't matter. They are winners.

*Sigh* Let's just say he made a winner Hull, again he doesn't direct the fact that it is an "after the fact trade".

Hey did I tell you about my long trade in the G6J from August 5? Still it and up more than 400p :D !!

Quote from Frits:

I've got another one for the list!! BERTVANARKEL.NL It's a Dutch guy. He used to give face to face courses on how to trade in the 90's (my dad went to one). But when he started to get nothing but complaints and people were losing money using his approach he went into the shelter.

A few years later he sold his list of former clients to real estate agents who claimed they made 9% return on investments in the middle-east. They started contacting those people. Not knowing these guys got the info from Van Arkel, some of them gave it a go. Of course this was all a big fake. The money mr. Van Arkel's former clients invested went to luxury cars, big boats, women and champagne! Eventually they got caught.

But Mr. Bert van Arkel got a good sum of money for delivering the client list! Now he runs a website to scrab a few bucks. You can subscribe to his service for only €995,- per year. For that you get 2 to 5 investment tips per month...

So EMG, bertvanarkel.nl can be added to the list!
