A list of all scam unregulated 3rd party educational vendors

NoDoji nailed it in regards to the purpose and what resources are available on BMT.

Big Mike runs a forum with civility which is much appreciated and hard to come by on most trading forums.

Whatever sort of "personality conflict" you have with him is your own issue. Whatever "vendor conflict" you have with him is again your own issue.

Pretty much all the shit talking about BMT is either because a vendor or hot head was banned. Just get over it and move on.

Let's not forget he is selling upgrades to some elite chamber of posts that are so sacrosanct they cost $$$ to have the privilege to lay your eyeballs on 'em.

Try 'heavily moderated'. Step out of line and you are gone in a hot minute by the choice of one person.

Click on a thread and you are likely to see him chiming in at some point (point is, it is so pervasive, everywhere, the site is about him, then vendors, then the masses) this strikes me as ODD...but that's just me.

The webinars also have too much 'BMT'. He should just introduce the speaker and funnel the questions. Instead you get an excessive amount of BMT's thoughts, his own questions (when I started I did this, I always thought that, let me ask my own question). Dude, let the speaker shine, let them present at least 5 slides before you start in, how about introduce them then be quiet and then handle Q/A at the end, it's about them and the audience, not you.

Back in the day when Baron did vendor webinars, (audio/chat), it wasn't about Baron.

There is a wealth of info and history in the ET threads in a way that I doubt exists on BMT or ever will with the heavy hand that interrupts free speech and the tolerance of opposing views.

You describe your opinion and experience, which is fine, but none of this indicates "scam", which is the point of this thread.

To me a scam is someone promoting a "Buy/Sell" indicator and showing charts on their site with red and green arrows picking perfect price turns every time. What it doesn't show you is that when a signal fails the little buy or sell arrow suddenly vanishes, so that at the end of the day all you see is the trades that worked.

It Used to be free, then $50.......now I hear its a 100:

That's peanuts relative to other sites and vendors charging 1,000's and hence the basis for the Big Mike smear;

as well as jealousy, the site is now a major trading information and resource hub spawned after a major financial melt down.

And it costs in time, money and resources to run a site.

The original reason given for the fee was that 3rd parties were freely downloading and branding indicators as there own for sale.

Sure there's members in there doing coding knock-offs of other vendor's indicators; and no doubt those vendors are pissed...

But that's just making hash out of hash

Making and losing money brings out the worst in people.

I've read and heard some nasty things said about Mike and "intent" of his Site.

BUT. I haven't come across anything Mike has openly written or said that strikes me as particularly vile or malicious.

Character Counts....Learn to read character.

I find it strange that a forum would be listed as a scam. There is a lot of good info at Big Mike's. I especially enjoy the section on Trader Psychology. The only thing Mike charges for is $100 to become an Elite Member. But again there is plenty of good stuff in the free section (which is the majority of the forum). And no, I don't love everything about Big Mike - he bans vendors too readily without explanation (judge, jury, and executioner) and he sometimes talks too much during the webinars - he needs to let the presenter get through the presentation first without interrupting. But other than that he runs a clean, useful forum that I enjoy very much.

BTW, shouldn't there be a voting mechanism on who the scam/not scam vendors are in this thread? If appears that if 1 or two people think a site is a scam, it appears on the list even though (in some cases) a larger majority of people say the vendor is not a scam. I think it would be cool to have a voting system like this:

Vendor XYZ Vote:
Scam = yes/no

Thanks!

Last time I checked, in the USA there's supposed to be evidence prior to an indictment..

Right. Big Mike also bans for and enforces no "piracy". The indicator "knock-offs" of maybe copyrighted indicators are just approximations, in some cases gleaned from formulae in an author's book, or Stocks and Commodities magazine. All the downloads are also transparent with no locked .dll's allowed (except for a few singular cases). Someone made some DeMark indicator knock-offs once but they were pulled off when the DeMark organization gave notice.

Then you have ThinkOrSwim including many copyrighted but permission granted indicators in the studies list such as a few DeMark indicators, and then dubious ones like John Carter's squeeze studies and Woodies CCI plus "sidewinders".

I think emg does the evaluation and makes up the official list soon as he wakes up on this thread and reminds again: "Most traders lose! they just lose!" :)

I see the onslaught of bigmikers here. Brainless trolling, as usual, lame excuses for the IP theft, etc.

I will address your BS one of these days. Keep it coming. You are doing an excellent job exposing the business and ethical standards of the BMT forum.

This alone makes it worth a relatively cheap fee... Unlike other forums, you have to wade around 80% garbage, arguing and other nonsense just to gleam some decent info...

Hell, his free section is very good also.

Sorry, my friend, but Big Mike is all about garbage and lies.

You may not see that or not care about it or be not concerned about it, but here is another example of how this loser and his favorite German douchebag are playing the game of deception:

http://tradingloonies.wordpress.com/2013/08/09/harald-steinhaus-and-the-orwellian-memory-hole/

Dirty Harry got caught with his pants down trying to hide his lies. Lying is against the rules of that forum yet Harald Steinhaus seems to be treated like a holly cow there. He was also allowed to hide that he was a vendor. He was a vendor for many years while engaging in discrediting his competitors and hiding his vendor status.

A forum without transparency and credibility is a joke and worse than most.

I prefer more garbage that I know is not manipulated than sleaze, lies, and sometimes outright slander from Big Mike and a clique of his buddies. He has no credibility with me.
