CFTC Charges Pro Trading Course, LLC, and Richard Regan with Solicitation Fraud [ http://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/pr6155-11.html ] 12/07/2011 11:36 AM EST

*The CFTC charged Chicago-based Pro Trading Course, LLC (PTC), a registered commodity trading advisor, and Richard Regan, PTC’s sole principal and a registered floor broker with fraudulently soliciting members of the public to enroll in a commodity futures training program.

Fantastic - awesome news !

It would appear that the NFA referred the case to the CFTC. And undoubtably, this thread and the ET website generated the awareness and communications necessary to bring the PTC scam into the light of day.

those who are successful traders are not salesmen/saleswomen. In other word, they can't nor do not know how to sell. It is not their goal

Spell check or maybe correct English grammar might be nice. And if you are a successful trader who is considering a HF or CTA/CPO start-up private prospectus offering, it would be incredibly naive to think that some level of proper salesmanship or promotion or however you choose to describe it is not a positive. Look who gets promoted by fund-of-funds and capital placement agents. There are lots of guys making very good returns who are stuck managing very modest accounts. Packaging and presentation are huge.

It's completely ridiculous that Puretick is not on that list.

Spent time in that room to learn about the perks of futures trading, not trading itself, but how futures work.

Well in no particular order....

The head trader is obnoxious and disrespectful if you question him.

The track record is impossible to replicate, asbolutely impossible.

He has bad habits, small targets, large stops, adds to losers, as an experienced trader you can tell from a mile away he has absolutely no edge.

The so called buzzer or trigger signal works like this, if the trade is good you prob wont be able to get his fills, if it's bad you will get filled and the head trader added to the loser to make it work for him, increasing risk exponentially.

When you want to quit, they hassle you into not quitting, force you to make phone calls and go thru the salesman drivel.

If you lose money, and you will lose money, they blame it on your lack of discipline, the idea is to keep you long enough , forking dollars until you realize its not you, but them.

They are notorious for creating fake user accounts on trading sites to make you believe their service is worth the price, when it's completely the contrary.

Like i said, ridiculous not to have them on the scam list, they should be in jail.

Yes, those people are quite the scammers. I'm sure they thought the NFA wouldn't have approved them to be CTA's or even approved their d-doc.

Eprado, yes he does have that website, and depending on your broker I don't know of any stocks that cannot be shorted. Even if they have no short tables you can short anything and your broker will do it no matter how small it is.

What makes Eprado think that they cannot be shorted? Every broker who wants to earn commission will do absolutely anything anyone wants them to.

He has a very good track record, so please cross him off the list of the scams.

This is hilarious! After not being here for several weeks, maybe even months Bone aka Boner or Bonehead is still trying to save his business on this thread/forum... I gotta give it to you Bonehead you are persistant! One of the qualities a good salesman needs!

Nevertheless I just dropped by to put this website under the attention. Have a look at it, you might find some useful info on it. Especially newbies in the business should take a look. It was my pleasure to built this website!

A word of advice to all. Just ignore Bonehead. Everything has been said and done concerning his fishy smelling business.
