Racist and prejudice are different.
It takes a sicko to be racist, but it's easy to be prejudiced.

If you are prejudiced in PRIVATE, that's still not right.

What is worse, someone who hates you and is up front about it?
Or someone who hates you and assassinates your character behind your back?

Both are shitty imho.
 
If a man happened to live in an all white community, there would STILL be a large percent of guys that the father would not want her marrying.

Who he would want/who he would not want would be between him, his daughter and suiters - NO ONE ELSE.

It's called privacy. People like you strive to remove the idea of privacy, because only those guilty of racism would ever need it, and you believe that interrogating people on private matters gives them the opportunity to "prove their innocence", and if they fail to do that to your satisfaction, you label them a racist or prejudice.

Ever spend any time looking at YOUR OWN attitudes? Or are you too busy looking at everyone elses?

I didn't ask the question of El cubano, until he came forth with his stance on african americans and marriage. He's not even WHITE, so you're argument is bullshit.

How about "people like you" can't follow the thread of conversation. Read back a bit. cubano brings up the marriage thing, and I discuss it with him. I see no poll. A debate allows both sides to air how they feel on the issue, hence the reason I stated my view.

I hope you read this fully and understand it.
 
You are absolutely right.

I am tired of all the crap that I see in this world, and I believe it will not change until people get polarized and stand up for their beliefs.

A racist doesn't have much of an intellectual argument for their beliefs. Neither does someone who is prejudiced.
I, on the other hand think that my arguments make sense, and that the world would be a better place without things like racism and prejudice.

If I offend someone into analyzing their beliefs, good.

I reacted to your post as I did, because you really didn't read mine, or El Cubano's posts fully. Then you made a blanket statement about me. (you people)

Yeah, people like me are the nicest people you'll ever meet, until you spew hatred and prejudice in public. I used to take it. Then I'd argue calmly. Now, at times, I fly off the handle and sometimes attempt to belittle. I'm not perfect, but my stance is correct.

First, you quoted me correctly "people like you", where I am referring to anyone with a major chip on their shoulder.

Then in your next response, you use dramatic license, changing my words from "people like you" to "you people" which has a racist connotation, (the original phrase does not). You know all whites are racist, no harm in changing their words to prove it?

MJW did not ask the question is was asked by a poster several pages back ( only to be answered in your head, private ) ..I offered my answer in public..I dont even have a daughter, I have a son...:D

there is no need to fight over this issue...no need to fly off the handle MJW. I dont know how old you are, but in life you just have to accept the bad with the good, your attitude in this matter will make a huge difference in the way it affects your abilities and even your health..There are many wrongs in this world..But as you have stated in one of your posts, Look at the Founder of BET ( being the first black owner of a sports franchise ) do u think he let these things get in his way..on that same note, this event should be an inspiration to you that America is moving in the right direction..What happened in the past cant be changed....peace ..

People like me, or you people. AGAIN, you're reading into things far too much, and reading other things far too little. I'll take either term. BLANKET STATEMENT is the key word in that sentence...

You're mad that I am prejudiced against those who are prejudiced??? Whatever, you're all over the road.

Keep thinking the way you're thinking, and you'll have a wonderfully happy life....

And again, I'm REACTING to prejudice and racism. If you don't see how the statement "I wouldn't want a black man marrying my daughter" is prejudiced, then PLEASE tell me what it IS. Is it nice? Is it right? WHY IS IT RIGHT? Speak up, fill me in on why you don't like or trust black people..

You read and see what you want to see.
 
I agree Cubano, that I should temper my arguments.
I'll try to in the future.

Being nice all the time can be a strain, when others aren't so nice. :)
