And you know how Trump is, he will stay there for a few days to milk it for all it's worth as the entire world's spotlight shines on him. And this is when he turns on the charm, a complete 180 from what everyone expects him to say or act. I can already see the change in his (public) demeanor. He's been groomed some, I can tell.

Plus, aren't most of the GOP in Congress, and certainly all the big names (aside from Rand Paul maybe) all gung-ho too with the bottomless checkbook? So Zelenski has nothing to lose in meeting with Trump, his curiosity alone as to what Trump wanted to say would probably be insurmountable. And no way the Dems could give Zelenski a cold shoulder... they would look like the biggest hypocrites of all time.

If Trump's campaign manager hasn't already thought of this, well. its in the ether now. I mean from a pure marketing standpoint alone... there is nothing he could do that could even come close to topping this.

And what if Trump goes armed with a plan that Zelenski likes?

That is not going to happen. Joe Biden owns Zelensky. He made Zelensky one filthy rich man. His wife is already reportedly, enjoying the monies. If you are able to see it, look for the video where President Donald Trump told Zelensky to clean up the corruption in Ukraine then. Zelensky was looking at the floor, not responding that he will clean up the corruption. Corruption in Ukraine never stopped that is why it has the reputation before the Russian invasion as the most corrupt country in Europe.

That presupposes that Trump can discipline himself and not get into "if you do this then when I am president I will do that" type of thing. Very doubtful.

Also many of the various characters who have gone to various private meetings have been authorized to do so- to go and give it a shot. And their purpose is aligned with what the government is trying to accomplish as well. The Loga Act is aimed at unauthorized communications that may the purpose - intended or unintended- of countering the official government position.

Ain't nobody going to be prosecuted under the Logan Act, just as last time with Trump and Flynn. But if Trump went we would still have to put up with round after round of lefty saber rattling around it- just as we did last time.
