A guy hands you a card and he is a hedge fund manager...what do you do?

Im disappointed in you guys. This is one of the few serious threads I have posted to Elitetrader out of hundreds.

I have a pile of business cards from different people with different titles, but how do you leverage these contacts. NYC is one of the few places where you are given cards all the time, but Im not certain if they actually want you to call or email them.

Pick up the fucking phone and talk to them.

Would you like us to write a script for you also?

Someone hands you a business card and the person is a hedge fund manager or works for a market maker and is a VP for trading. You walk away. What is your next step?

How do you leverage this?

I concur with that, no results happen with an inability to act, so if you believe its legit follow through with your due diligence and see if it is by calling that individual up.
