Yes, today's liberal is mars and Venus to what liberals were in the 1960's who hated war, hated big government, hated the threat to free speech, wanted free elections, wanted to be left alone, etc.,

In fact, their transformation is the total polar opposite of what those of us early 40's-seniors knew "liberals" to be from those times. Yes, today's "liberal" actually loves big, out of control fascist government. They also believe in controlling others they don't agree with, via intimidation, shame, and violence. Yeah "libs," when I zero a rifle scope, I'm not doing that for a hunting trip, as I'm not really into hunting. I'm not zeroing that scope for use on Russian Paratroopers invading America either, lol. No, I'm zeroing that scope, knowing who America's TRUEST ENEMIES are..

Ps: nice try on the gun control "thingy." I'll credit you "libs" as smart for thousands of attempts, as I'd do the same if I were a terrorist. I can imagine you American terrorists are mad as hell knowing you can't simply kick in anyone's door you don't agree with, so you can beat, rape, and murder them. Would be even more comical knowing that if you libterrorists kicked my door, you'd be shot with the same rifle your comrades use, the AK-47. Even the unions are beginning to distrust liberals. It has been an amazing transformation.

The spying and use of government institutions as blunt objects to punish those with opposing ideologies is a fairly new development. The leftist aparatchiks no longer even attempt to conceal or obfuscate their socialistic intent or their willingness to use the weight of the government to crush capitalism and the enslave the middle-class. They use issues of race, poverty and climate as cover for their push towards socialism and the end of private property.

The left wants to you live in a small state-issued apartment in an urban area and for you to use only public transportation to commute a short distance to your service-sector job with federally mandated salary. They want you to eat vegan. They would prefer if you just ordered some marijuana delivered to your home and sit around and watch tv or use the internet. Hunting, fishing or anything outdoors is discouraged. If you like to shoot guns you are already on a half-dozen databases.

The AK is overrated. Fine gun if you need to drag something through mud and gravel behind your truck and have it still work but if you are inclined to occasionally clean or maintain your weapons there are much better choices. An AK shoots 7.62x39mm projectiles. At 7.62x51mm stuff starts being penetrated like cars, cinder-blocks, light armor, earthworks etc and it has a very flat trajectory. The ammo is too heavy to carry much so its really for people who plan to stay put in their homes.

On, I can only imagine the databases we're as gun owners.. And the AK is my "Fuck Em' rifle." I love the idea of using one to defend my home from the same terrorists who'd likely have one too. And since I've got two decades experience mastering them, I'm one of the rare few who's deadly with one out to 200 meters.
Other than that, WICKED home defense rifle!! I've actually seen these used inside of homes, and buildings in Iraq, and all I could do was say "holy fuck!" Brains, and Shit flew everywhere, and just never mind, lol. I'll note, the bullet would usually disintegrate after passing through the shit bag, then not doing much damage to the wall it wound up hitting. Always depends on circumstances though.

Simple to learn (look at the monkey in Africa the idiots handed the full auto AK:D)

Clean it? Nah! Why do it? Lol! (I actually do, but most don't. VERY important with Yugo, or corrosive primers!)

Parts, and ammo easily found in every country, America heavily included. HUGE plus!

Can sleep knowing its an AK, and WILL function while the other guy fiddles with unnecessary shit.
I could go on about the genius of this weapon of war, and at the same time point out, it's sure as hell no hunting rifle.

* Other than Russians, and a rare few others, most people can't use these past 50 meters, as they haven't learned how to use the horribly flawed sights, plus master that horribly long trigger. For most, I tell "buy a Remington 870 Tactical. Best $375 you'll ever spend on a defensive weapon."

As for the 7.62x.51, yes, the better choice for most with rifle training. And yes, both AK and .308 rounds are very heavy. That's the reason they were phased out in Nam. I can imagine the complaints with that wicked tropical sun beating down on those guys, packing an extremely heavy (by today's standards), M14, and crates of that heavy ball ammo... Ouch! M14's and their variants are, however, what I personally own, so yes, the .308 is a bad ass all day long. Read about GySgt. Carlos Hathcock, USMC Ret, and what he did along a river in Vietnam with an M14 with starlight (junk!), scope, and a USMC Major who was his spotter. Wow!!!

Ok, back on topic. Sorry. You guys know how to get me going o/t with the barrel head stuff, lol!
