Somewhat new to futures just had a few basic questions mostly involving the vix:
1. Do any other futures other than the VIX, crude, and heating oil futures usually trade in a steep contango?
2. Is there a VIX like future that tracks any other worldwide indexes?
3. How do the VIX futures calculate their price when they open at 7:00 AM central time which is before the option market opens?
