a dumb question??????????

I notice when I call the 2 brokerages I use everyday, they have "traders" who are busy, I would guess, "trading." For those of you who have been there, can you tell me, are these guys trading "against" their clients and their accounts, in other words, us??

depends - look at their account documents that you have to sign, it will address this issue

You need to dump the 2 brokerages and get one that cares about you.

Most likely they're trading for their clients with the biggest accounts.
