A drink to take the edge off...

Rearden... I don't know the guy but I respect him. His posts are sharp and he's reputed to be one of the biggest, most successful traders on elite.

I remember him saying a while back that he didn't really feel he was functioning optimally unless he was on some kind of substance. I think it was some mild pain medication (can't remember the name, seemed something like vic) . maybe you want to ask his opinion/theory
 
Heard of many concreters etc, who at morning smoko, and lunch, (and maybe afternoon tea) had a few relaxing shots of grappa.
Worked like fury all day long, singing songs etc, everyday. Guys who put in hard physical hours, seemed to help get through the day.
Certainly explains why hip flasks were invested, but working that hard it would actually burn off quite quickly, different kettle of fish.
 
this is the stupidest thread i've seen yet on ET. If you are truly so confident in your trade, you will be able to put more leverage on without stress. You know its stupid, so why do it? And if just afraid of big size, gradually build up - you'll figure it out.

So your 'nervousness' to take a setup is your brain doing its job and protecting you.

By all means, with all of the drinking and potsmoking it sounds like fellow traders out there are doing, it looks like I have more hope to make a killing this year.
