I had actually run into that article myself when it came out. CNN is now unfortunately infamous for bias, sloppy reporting, and even misinformation. However, not always, and in this case they did some excellent "gumshoe" hard-working Journalism, and I was impressed ... and enraged.

In my days I have visited about 40 countries, even places like Uzbekistan and Ukraine, and let's say I have some "interesting" training in my background. And I have great compassion for vulnerable, confused elderly people, I have helped quite a few, who worldwide are often the targets of various scams.
