A 70k bet that I can't make a 50% gain in 2009

i know there's a summary you posted but I can't see how much money you started with and how much money you ended with.
is there a simple net PnL number somewhere?

No idea if Puddles wants to disclose that..
however,if we apply Geez's "numbers" as stated at the beginning of this thread:
Quote from geez:

I risk $200 per trade with a risk/reward of at least 1 to 1.8. Meaning winning trade should return $346 ($360-$14 for comm.), each loss =$214 w/ comm. As for the 1.8 to 1, I actually go for 2 to1 and with slippage here and there I make sure I get AT LEAST 1.8 to1 on avg

total number of trades: 630
$ tot commissions : $ 8820

slippage calculated with 1.8 R/R instead of 2R/R

$ tot winning trades : $ 100800
$ tot losing trades : $ 70000

$ profit : $ 21980

Im pretty sure you could have traded this with a $ 50k account... that's about 44% ROI in 8 months , 66% in 12 months.
Anything above 50% a year is outstanding IMO

i have no plans of ever disclosing my actual p&l but thanks for doing this example.

to answer what i think rosy was asking. geez won his bet and was closer to 100% on the year than 50%..

a few points about my trading..

- my max loss per trade is less than geez's (for now)
- i'm not crazy enough to use scottrade and pay significantly lower commissions than he did in 2009.

My swing trading blog (ideas, trades and live online journal), affected by geez + puddles. Thank you boys for sharing your ideas and knowledge.

Hows about an update ?
Any new bets ?
I expect your trading improved immensely with so much money riding on the result. Did you keep improving ?
