A 70k bet that I can't make a 50% gain in 2009

- Wiggled out with one stupid bar otherwise it would have hit target (like 5 hours later)

I know it's in this thread somewhere, but is the idea that when the market gaps up, you look for stocks to short so that when the market turns over, you ride it down and the other way around?

we're always looking for relative strength/weakness.. an inverse gap is an instant qualifier..

I started demo trading the ES so I'm hoping this can apply the same. How do you find or "see" the relative strength/weakness?

- After stopping me out BJ shows continued strength from 1pm onward. A lot stronger than SPY
- A super tight higher low sets up
- Long over the higher low
- out +0.1

After our BJ long exit it decides to rip back down and run into some good support at .70. Geez and I discuss shorting under that level. He gets filled, I do not.. easy peasy target in 15 minutes.
