A 70k bet that I can't make a 50% gain in 2009

- RIG gapped down but held it's level while SPY held off
- Look to go long when SPY turns (it's gotta turn eventually right?)
- SPY puts in a big red bar after 10 and RIG continues up, great relative strength
- SPY looks like it's coming back, long over RIG HOD
- was +0.26 at one point, out -0.2, hits target 30 minutes after stop out

Called a perfect lower high setup late in the day with RIG but didn't take it..

- The same SPY retracement I used for the trade above did not help KLAC at all
- It stayed weak and even continued down as SPY tried to retrace
- Short under a tight lower high
- out -0.13

Rough start to the week. Wish I just bought some TSLA and let it ride..

Hey Puddles wassup and how's trading? If I may offer a suggestion I'd advise you to give up the correlation trading and just trade the SPY, QQQQ, or IWM. There's plenty of movement in the indexes and since you put so much effort into following and analyzing the price action of the indexes you might as well just trade them and that way you can focus and learn just one instrument and master it. That's the reason I trade eminis and i don't even know if I could day trade stocks anymore.
