A 70k bet that I can't make a 50% gain in 2009

10:26 1000 RIMM BUY 43.86
*RIMM gapped up and move up from 9:30 to 9:40, then retraced for a double bottom. It rallied from there and at 10:05 put in a double top, a sign of strength for me. It retraces and puts in a higher low on the 5 min chart at 10:25 when it passes above the prior 5 min bars high(43.86). I put my entry there and my stop .20 below that and a target of .40 above.
10:41 1000 AMGN SHORT 49.94
* AMGN was Rel. weak to the market. As the QQQQ moved up AMGN went down(a sign to look short). At 10:35 AMGN put in a Lower high on the 5 min chart, a signal to short. I put my entry at 49.94, my stop .20 above and tgt .40 lower. It got within .09 of my tgt, butturned against me.
11:13 800 AMZN SHORT 72.48
*AMZN failed to make a new high on the 10:35 rally, then broke the prior low on the 5 min charts from 10:15. From 10:55 to 11:10 AMZN has a very small rally and putsin anotherlower high, a sign to short. I entered below the base it set up at 72.50 (72.48), put my stop above the last pivot of 72.68(stop 72.73) and my target at 72.00.
13:21 250 GS BUY 107.35
* GS was in an uptrend all morning and at 12:50 broke out. I bought the 1st higher low it made after the b/o over the 13:20 5 min bar 107.35. i put my stop below the low of the 13:15 bar of 107.04 (stop 107.00) and tgt of 108.05. GS took me out on the 13:50 bar, then turned and went to tgt. i used a 1/2 lot on this trade b/c I was still in 1 short and already had a couple losers, and GS can be difficult to trade ith the spread sometimes.
15:31 1000 QID BUY 47.18
*QID sold off all day, but from 14:50 to 15:10 it rallied and put in a higher high from the previous selloff from 14:30, a sign of alittle strength. I watch it from here for a higher low on the 5 min charts, which I get when it passes the high of the 15:25 bar (47.17), I put my stop below the pivot here of 47.02(stop 46.98) and my tgt at 47.68-where the 13:55 selloff began. it gets there in less than 5 min.
