Or in a rare moment of daring you put on 3 trades at once and before you can enter stops/targets, your platform simply vanishes from the screen as if it never existed...OK I don't feel individually jinxed now.
Call me paranoid but I always enter a trade with a bracket order. It can be changed as you manage the trade but at least you have the order on the brokers server if something goes wrong.

that's why having a good broker(one with bracket orders, among other things) is essential to someone looking to do this for a living.
my buddy got me good when he told me I was going to use scottrade for this adventure.
