A 70k bet that I can't make a 50% gain in 2009

Puddles, what's your overall win rate since you've been doing this?

And, why did you make the decision to trade in a different style than geez? You're doing more breakouts, where he was doing reverals. Just curious.

Cheers.

as of today, 44.5% since i started this journal..

i havn't really changed my style up, i still look for reversals on extended stocks but i havn't had many on my radar in a long while.

geez and i talk through trades through the day so I don't think I'm differing from his style too much. :)

44.5% is fantastic. Nice work!!! With this strategy, 44.5% is extremely profitable.

Do you have monthly or weekly stats you could post on your win rate?

Glad you kept this going (both the trading and the journal), I really enjoy reading even though I don't always have the time to follow it regularly.

Keep up the nice work.

SHORT MOS 66.76
STOP 67.02

- Market gaps up like a monster
- MOS gap and crap
- I was a little concerned about shorting in such a strong market but the 10am #s failed to impress
- out +0.51

SHORT RIMM 61.89
STOP 62.01
TGT 61.65

- Was out of the house all day and return home SPY being flat and RIMM being super weak
- Short the tight lower high, set the stop above the round # instead of above the bar
- ticked out, would have been fine if i used the # above the bar

out -0.13

Puddles: Few times you have tried to add to winning position (average up).
Do you (Puddles+geez) have any statistics, if adding to winning position is better than the exit at fixed 2R level? Thank you.

I do it so rarely that my sample size wouldn't be significant..
