Housing can be fixed if the government did some smart planning by scattering some of the concentrated industries from the crowded cities.

They should make a plan to move some of these crowded industries to say the Rustbelt or even the Southwest where land is cheaper than Palo Alto or Los Altos Hills. That would require a re-industrialization of sorts. I would imagine you would need politicians who actually invest in the US so most likely Democrats.
 
I must say this boomer shift story also has a (grey) beard. Same story 20y ago we would see an enormous shift.. It’s just one of the narratives I suppose :rolleyes:
