97 Million Work Full Time, 101 Million Get Food Aid

Quote from pspr:

...we have a very serious structural problem.

The structural problem is that 75% of our "GDP" is driven by CONSUMPTION; if this was not the case, politicians would not be anywhere near as 'generous' to the 'general welfare' with taxpayer funds. This modus operandi transcends the superficial party/faction lines that all of you are referencing for the bullshit blame game which solves nothing.

Quote from Scataphagos:

My homeowner's premium is up 34% in past 2 years. Property insurance on rental, up 52% in 2 years... but "no inflation", of course.

It makes zero sense considering "replacement cost" should be cheaper than 5+ years ago.

Yes, I've referenced this many times in my posts. The political m.o. is to bailout their "benefactors" via generous welfare to keep consumer consumption a constant. That's also the intent of the ridiculously generous public sector pensions...i.e. no need to save a dime if you can earn your last three year average salary into perpetuity.

if you want savings and a better structure... eliminate the biggest penalty there is. Personal income tax.

slowy more and more people in the society will want find work worth their time.
