95% of traders lose

No offense taken, I developed my own successful method many moons ago.. you are certainly in the minority if you place any value in a man that claims to never have a losing trade :p

I think your listening to the hype and taking things out of context.

As an example: almost every single women that I date tells me that she is the best lover I will ever have.

How can all of them be the best :confused:

We all have our ego's but that should not take away from the fact that I would like to decide for myself whether or not she is a good lover or not ... :D

Maybe they just aren't confident you'll get another date :p

I think proper training and infrastructure may have to do with the success of some traders.

The reason why I'm saying this is because as far as I'm concerned I've done all my career in IB (3 in total) and I am fairly confident that more than 5% of the traders around me are making money lol (and we dont live off bid/ask spreads from our clients...). Traders in my company all have something in common: years of training by senior traders and proper infrastructures: this is very expensive I think for our employers, but yet they may have reasons to do it this way. Traders don't get sent being butchered by the market after 3 months. My training took 3 years, yet I'm a hard headed and slow learner I believe lol.

What I'm trying to say, is that a beginner trader that starts alone in my opinion doesn't have the same chance of becoming profitable than one that starts with a few senior traders who know the in and out of the market around him, as well as proper mind training a bigger infrastructure can provide.

Of course some very successful traders are self-made, I just think that for the average lambda trader like me, being provided proper infrastructure and training, helps.

Jrkob;
Thinking that also;
more than 5% succeed, especially if you count investors/traders.

And among those with some money management/ trend study;
probably much, much more succeed..

It is not rocket science;
yet i started like most new traders,
with an amazing consistency of trading too big.......
:D :cool:

Actually it was David Hannum:

We certainly don't want any inaccuracies in this thread :)

and now we know the rest of the story.....

btw, you've got it correct, it is a scammers heaven out there.

And would it be correct to assume that the 5% of profitable traders devise their own methods and avoid the herd.. ?

=

Probably. And once they discover reality, theyd rather see their sister in a whorehouse than their brother bumbling along with some macd crossover system.

At least one of the siblings would be consistently profitable.

Tell that to Spydertrader and many others who are making money, but hey, if that makes you feel better... no problem.

It's quite evident that this thread was not started to discuss about 95% ..blalbla..

Nice try and by the way, never thought to get your own life, might be interesting..
Pathetic.

Is this why so many traders are drawn to promises of the grail such as Woodies CCI and Jack Hershey SCT?

Where is the data that shows that "95% of traders lose"?
