~90% of new jobs created are Part-Time Jobs.

America added 270K net new full-time jobs over the course of nearly 5 years.

270K is a mediocre print for ONE MONTH. We're talking ~5 years here!!!

This is after the Treasury borrowed and spent nearly 6 TRILLION dollars to boost the economy.

This is how weak the economy is folks.

Throw up straight for 6 months, or be nauseous for 20 years.

Sure. The numbers belie the gigantic hole in this economy the Government unsuccessfully tried to fill with debt.

The jobs are gone. Mostly via offshoring. When America can borrow no longer, we're in for something much much worse than 2008.

I wasn't trying to be cryptic. I've been saying that for a long time now, how the economy should have been left to crash, and then clean itself of the cancer once and for all. If debt was wiped out, we could have begun anew. Sure, it would have been real painful, but instead, we'll just kick the can trying to draw it out as we limp along for decades until it finally hits the end of the road.

I'm in full agreement. Separating cause and effect, and postponing consequences is a real bad move. But that's the road our politicians and voters have opted. I think Americans are gunna be real shocked to discover the new normal is a 30% pay cut.

70% of GDP is the populace buying and selling to each other, so I guess they're broke. But if the banks had been allowed to fail then consumers wouldn't be broke.

They'd be broke(r), regardless. Not much can change that now

It's all part of Obama's plan.

If it's real, it's called studying.

The Post-American World (Paperback)

“This is not a book about the decline of America, but rather about the rise of everyone else.” So begins Fareed Zakaria’s blockbusting bestseller on the United States in the twenty-first century.
