Okay I'll admit it and I'm probably the only one that doesn't get this, but I can't do the math that takes $100 (2 contracts at 1 point (1 point = $50)) x 257 = $100,000. What am I missing?

I didn't do the exact math but at 1 contract per $5000 (2 for the 1st $10,000) you can progress to 3 contracts after 50 days and each $5000 gain will come faster and faster. Maybe even start adding contracts in as little as a couple of days.

AaaaHHHH! The power of compounding.

It always quickens the blood. The part that stings the nostrils is the one point a day with losing myself out of the game. That can be a bit sticky and tricky. I hope the OP has a nice consistant method that pulls it in every day at least on average. I have yet to be so blessed.

If you have got that method I see no reason you can't make it.

I watch the DOW chart on Yahoo finance about 3 hours (I'm on the west coast) into the trading day and go with the days flow. Today I entered long with a 20 point trailing stop and got stopped out at -6, I caught an extra 14 points after entry but then the market sold off. I'm still working on it and must let my winners run longer, largest gain was 40 points largest loss 12. After most of my gains the market continued stongly in my direction without me and I have to work on my exit.
