80% of Americans oppose UN control of internet

Russia, China and several Arab countries are pushing for international control of the Internet through the United Nations, but U.S. voters overwhelmingly oppose the idea.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just five percent (5%) of Likely U.S. Voters think an agency of the United Nations should be given the authority to regulate the Internet. Eighty percent (80%) oppose U.N. control of the international computer communications network. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The U.N. shouldn't be in control of anything. The entire U.N. building should be demolished, preferably with them in session.

Why would they favor it? The internet is undermining the power of capital and privilege all over the world.

I'm with Ricter. I can't see this being something a Liberal would ever support. The countries you mention aren't doing this because of Socialistic desires or something. They're pushing for it to keep down truth and information, to keep their populace dumber and to control the information. Such desire is not right or left, but Totalitarian.

The UN is a piece of scumbag shit that wants to be the "New World " govt. They want global taxation, a new world currency, tax exempt pensions for themselves, total control over world communications, food supplies and energy. Google any of it.

Americans who support UN control of the internet most likely support ceding US national sovereignty to the International Court of Justice, and the UN in general.
