The question nitro ask is if you are dying, and someone say you have the choice of 8 places of the solar system to see, what do you choose?

He is no saying you have to live there. And he is no saying you have another wish to live longer.

Is just for fun.:) :p

No Uranus jokes?!

You people disappoint me.
Do you know how the Star Trek Enterprise and toilet paper are similar?

I am surprised no one wants to go to see The Peaks Of Eternal Light (TPOEL).

I admit this one is fascinating to me. Imagine living/working on TPOEL, and then trekking to the dark side of the moon to do astronomical research on the moons version of Mauna Key Observatories?

It would be amazing.

Quote from blackjack007:

those are exagerrated artists renditions from someone who has no background in astronomy. none of those places beyond mars has much light so you're not going to see anything. you might as well stand in your closet with the door closed; it will look the same. the photo of mercury sunrise is ridiculous; how can you see stars and how can the sky be dark with the sun in your face?

as for mars, we earthlings have photos of it from robotic explorations, and it looks amazingly boring.

i'll pick earth, thank you. it's way more beautiful than all those places combined

This guy is right. Those pics are embellished/retouched. What you see there isn't what you'd get. If you want to see some amazing
footage check out any of the series "Visions of ..." there's one for France, Italy, Germany, England, Greece. Its footage from a helicopter and offers the best perspective possible, covering miles of coastline; better than having your boots on that ground even. Watched Northern Italy last night in 52 inch Blue Ray ...thats what I want to see the last few days on my death bed.
