Depends on which anonymous foreigner you are talking about. If someone shrieks nonsense to me on an internet message board, then I see no difference, no. The question is, do you get anything out of the conversation - ever? If never, then there's really no point in continuing a dialogue with the person.

Certainly I get something out of it.
I believe in dialogue and listening to the other side. Sometimes the opposing side in a debate will make a good point.
But more importantly I listen because it’s important to know how hateful and bitter and stupid the other side is becoming. I don’t want to ever be surprised by that.

That’s what it’s all about. The NRA pumps fear and military style guns into the people and the people buy military style guns out of fear. Now there is so many guns that there is no way to stop every mass shooting and it’s just a matter of time until the next one.

The NRA has created an environment that is poisonous and sells the poison as the antidote. It’s pure evil because the outcome is murder.

The NRA did not used to be like this. It was once a true gun safety organization. Now they are just pure evil.

It doesn’t matter where you get your morality from, religion or reason, good is life and evil is death. The NRA pushes death. There would be a lot of innocent kids alive today if it wasn’t for the NRA.

Texas school did have armed guards and mass shooting safety drills. Unfortunately it did not help.

Universal background checks and closing every loophole is pretty much all we can do apart from removing 2nd amendment (I personally 100% support it). Will it stop mass shooting, of course not, but it should drastically reduce them. If every citizen would have to go through similar process that we have in NYC, people would be thinking twice about each additional fire arm they purchase. As a compromise we can demand concealed carry across all 50 states.

Right. We need laws that ensure gun ownership responsibility. This includes registration of all guns, proficiency exams, fitness exams and insurance on all guns.

Those steps will lessen the amount of guns and add a level of safety that guns do not get in the wrong hands. You will see less guns on the street and less mass shootings if people had to treat their guns like their cars.
