Look back few short years. Do you honestly believe that if Saddam/Iraq had any nukes or any other WMD’s we would have really invaded it?
The answer is NO. MAD is always on top. Communism is the largest threat or we forgot the rhetoric for the last hundred years or so? Some may not be old enough, but do some research. Why not invade Russia in the past and China now? Only defenseless countries with rich resources are getting invaded lately as it seems.
If Iran is defenseless it will be attacked, sizeable oil deposits don’t help it either.

The reason we got out of the previous recession was due to Iraq war. We were already in Afghanistan but, obviously, that wasn't large enough to raise a stink. Just look back on every god damn war the Americans engaged in. They were all followed on the heels of a recession. It probably will be no different this time around.
