Quote from ElectricSavant:
I am not quite so sure about this...There are antitrust laws for corporations that evolve into such big entities that they control markets and policy.
Wasn't Microsoft an example of this? Was there a case study on this?...These are honest questions and I may be learning something here.
I am not real comfortable exchanging the corporate drive for efficiency and market share for a political team of humans hungry for power, even if they have a vison of equalizing the rich and the poor...and even if they are elected by the people.
I am not a fan of egalitarianism.

P.S. When I lived and operated a company in Socialist Sweden for five years, I often asked myself...why work? There are so many people brainwashed and supressed over there and I marveled at how they blindly followed the governments decisions for them. I eventually left Sweden with my Swedish wife as I missed having the hope of financial independence. Sweden has come a long way in eliminating that hope...but alas.. everybody has a good life...By the way... Monopolies are legal over there...but the government decides that.. HeHe
