I doubt that. In order to know that an EV would not contain a turbo, the average person would need to understand what a turbo does. I simply don't think they do.
I don't think Tesla was trying to create a misleading name as superchargers are not that common, especially today. I doubt the average Tesla driver knows what a supercharger is. As I said, at least the Tesla supercharger is actually a charger unlike the Porsche EV "Turbo". What Porsche did was create a false distinction in the 911 line by labeling some cars "Turbo" even though they all have turbos...that is intentionally misleading. In all fairness, Porsche was not the first company to horribly abuse the word "Turbo"
