Also Japanese have more civil and social discipline. People don't throw trash on the streets, they don't jaywalk or cross against the lights, the subways are spotless, etc.. society has more social controls against criminal activity than we do, were no one gives a shit.
The most crime ridden street in America is Wall Street. Chicago gangsters ain’t got nothing on Goldman Sachs bankers.
So you think their crime rate would rival Chicago if they had access to legal firearms? No guns...

No they just do not have the same violent mentality in their society and lack of guns for them is part of their culture. Even Yakuza violence has been famous for sword/knife killings rather than turf war gun battles. Japan is more left economically than we are and pretty non violent culture. The comment that the most crime ridden cities are run by Democrats is a statment that tries to link lefty policies to increased violence and crime. There is no such link. Cities are always going to be more violent than suburbs and rural areas due to density of population, wealth, as well as poverty. A city of 9,000,000 is going to have more violence than a suburban county of 400,000 per capita. There is no "Democratic" policy that leads to more violence. Gangs don't give a shit who is President.
